Portland Police Robbery Detectives have arrested 19-year-old Dylan Paul Smith of Northeast Portland in connection with a string of Northeast Portland armed robberies.

Smith was arrested yesterday, March 1, 2011, at approximately 9:30 p.m. at a residence in the 5700 block of Northeast 31st Avenue, and booked into the Multnomah County Jail early this morning on four counts of Robbery in the First Degree. The Portland Police Bureau's Special Emergency Reaction Team assisted Robbery Detectives with the arrest.

Smith's charges are in connection with three separate robberies at a Northeast Portland Wells Fargo ATM, located at Northeast 42nd and Going Street. The robberies occurred on February 3, 6 and 9, 2011. The fourth robbery charge is in connection with the February 13 armed robbery at Tonalli's Donut Shop, located at 2805 Northeast Alberta Street.

Smith is also expected to face charges in Salem, Oregon related to an armed robbery where a shot was fired at the Cricket Wireless store, located at 4681 Commercial Street SE.
