On Monday, October 10, 2011, at 9:42 p.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to an area hospital regarding a gunshot victim that was dropped off in the emergency room. The victim was dropped of but the people that drove him to the hospital left and did not go with him into the hospital.

The victim, 23-year-old Brandon Rogers, was shot once in the abdomen. Rogers suffered serious injury from the shooting. He was stabilized but then transported to a trauma hospital where he immediately underwent surgery. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

As officers began the investigation witnesses were very uncooperative. Ultimately it is believed that the shooting occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Northeast 102nd avenue.

At this point it is still unknown exactly where the shooting took place. Residents in the area reported hearing gunshots but could not determine exactly where they came from.

The Gang Enforcement Team is conducting the investigation and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact:
