UPDATE: Portland Police Investigating Overnight Shooting in North Portland

The victim in Sunday's shooting has been identified as 36-year-old Shaun Lynell Wilson of Vancouver.

No arrests have been made and Gang Enforcement Team Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.



On Sunday October 30, 2011, at 2:43 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a report of shots fired in the 11900 block of North Center Avenue, on Hayden Island.

As officers were enroute, an update was given that someone had been shot and left the area in a red SUV. Officers arrived in the area and located a crime scene then received information that a gunshot victim had arrived at the Southwest Washington Medical Center.

The 36-year-old male victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg.

Gang investigators from the Vancouver (WA) Police Department and the Portland Police Bureau are investigating.

At this time, there have been no arrests and there is no suspect information.
