Update: The deceased person is a male in his twenties and Homicide Detectives are calling this a suspicious death.

There will likely be an autopsy tomorrow and following that the name of the victim and manner and cause of death will likely be released at that time.

This morning, Monday November 7, 2011, at 7:37 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of a deceased individual in the 10700 block of Northeast Halsey Street.

Officers arrived and located a deceased person and have established a crime scene. Homicide Detectives and Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division are enroute and will be conducting an investigation.

No additional information can be released at this time.

Traffic is shut down on Northeast 106th Avenue, south of Halsey.

Media staging is at Northeast 105th and Halsey Street.
