The victim in last night's shooting at Rose City Park has been identified as 20-year-old Marquis Glover of Northeast Portland. Glover was shot multiple times but is expected to survive his injuries.
Glover was playing basketball at Rice Elementary School's outdoor courts, when he got into a fight with the suspect. The suspect pulled out a gun and fired multiple times at Glover. The suspect then walked to a red car and drove away.
Based on the initial investigation it appears this shooting is gang-related, the 36th of 2012.

This evening, Friday April 13, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., Portland Police officers from North Precinct and the Gang Enforcement Team responded to the report of a shooting at Northeast 64th Avenue and Tillamook Street.
Officers arrived and learned that one male was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim is in his late teens or early 20s and has been transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary information from witnesses indicates that the suspect is a an African American male in his late teens or early 20s wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans and left the area in an unknown make red car. The shooting appears to have started on the basketball court at Rose City Park.
Officers are continuing to interview lots of witnesses who were at Rose City Park for various athletic events.
