Portland Police Arrest 17-Year-Old After Old Town Street Robbery

On Tuesday May 29, 2012, at 11:18 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to the report of an armed robbery at Northwest 8th Avenue and Davis Street. The victim, 25-year-old Patrick Sleight, reported to police that he was robbed at gunpoint by two men and two females at Southwest Broadway and Stark Street.

Officers checked the area and located the suspects, taking them into custody.

Robbery detectives responded and conducted the investigation, ultimately arresting 17-year-old Derrick Wesley Row for Robbery in the Second Degree. An unloaded firearm used in the robbery was recovered. The other three suspects were not charged and released from custody.

The robbery appears to be drug-related.

Row was lodged at the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home.
