UPDATE: Danya has returned home safely.

On Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 7:52 p.m. Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a call of a female juvenile runaway at a residence in the 9900 block of North Leonard.

Officers learned that the runaway is a 14-year-old Danya C. Ortega. Family last heard from Danya at about 4:20 p.m. Danya is described as a white 14-year-old female 5'7 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds and was last seen wearing an electric blue short sleeve t-shirt with yellow writing, light gray "skinny" jeans, black van shoes with red laces and a black Columbia sportswear fleece jacket.

Danya may be depressed and possibly suicidal and she has a bus pass and may be on Tri-Met. Portland Police are asking for the publics help in locating her. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts Danya Ortega is asked to immediately call 911 and contact Detective Mike Weinstein at 503-823-0446.
