Portland Police Bureau Sex Crimes Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect in a sexual assault on Rocky Butte.

On Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 3:30 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of a sexual assault that occurred on Rocky Butte in Northeast Portland. The victim was sexually assaulted but was able to get away from her attacker and call 9-1-1.

Officers and a police K-9 unit searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, 5'10", 250 pound, with muscular shoulders, a fat stomach, brown greasy-scraggly hair, a long brown beard, a bigger nose with a crooked tip, wearing an over sized gray tee-shirt and black sweatpants.

A forensic sketch of the suspect is being released to assist police in identifying the attacker.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you can remain anonymous.
