23-year-old Shawn Wayne Langhans was cited for DUII at a Portland area hospital.

This evening, Monday July 2, 2012, at 7:28 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct and the Traffic Division responded to the report of an injury crash at North Interstate Boulevard and Overlook Street.

Officers arrived and found a vehicle stuck on the southbound MAX tracks. Officers contacted the driver and based on their observations, the 23-year-old driver was arrested for DUII. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment to minor injuries. Two other passengers were also transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The fourth person in the car refused medical treatment and left the scene.

The driver crashed into a pole that prevents drivers from getting onto the MAX tracks before being stuck on the tracks. Southbound MAX service will continue to be affected for approximately 30 minutes until the vehicle is towed from the scene.

The name of the driver will be released after he is booked into jail or given a citation.
