Portland Police Bureau Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the death of a young woman found in an apartment in Southeast Portland on Tuesday afternoon.
Today, Wednesday July 11, 2012, the Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on the victim, identified as a female in her 30s, and determined that the cause of death was homicidal violence. Detectives and the Medical Examiner are continuing to work to determine the woman's identity.
Portland Police officers from Central Precinct were called to a residence in the 1400 block of Southeast Belmont Street on Tuesday July 10, at 1:54 p.m., on the report of a deceased female in an apartment.
No additional information about the investigation will be released at this time.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the case but have not identified a suspect or made any arrests.
