68-year-old Jeanette Way has been safely located and transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. Way was located by a neighbor near the care facility.

The Portland Police Bureau would like to thank the community for their assistance in this case.

The Portland Police Bureau Missing Person's Unit is asking for the public's help in locating 68-year-old Jeanette Way, who was reported missing late Sunday morning from her residential care facility in the 13400 block of Northeast Halsey Street. Way was reported to have last been seen at about 10:00 p.m. on Saturday July 14, 2012, when she had been getting ready to go to sleep.

Way is free to come and go as she pleases from the facility, but detectives believe she may have wandered away from her residence overnight and may have become confused, or that her medical condition may have otherwise impaired her ability to return home on her own.

Way is believed to be on foot, and tends to shuffle or walk slowly. She often uses TriMet or MAX.

Way is described as a 68-year-old white female, 5'5", weighing 130 pounds. She has short grey hair and brown eyes, and wears glasses. Her clothing description is unknown, but she may be wearing black shoes, and may be carrying a dark-colored purse.

Anyone who knows of Way's whereabouts is asked to immediately call 9-1-1. Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to contact Detective Mike Weinstein, Missing Persons Unit, at (503) 823-0446.
