This morning, Monday July 16, 2012, at 11:44 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of a bank robbery at he U.S. Bank branch located at 4100 Northeast 122nd Avenue.
While officers were enroute they learned that the the suspects left the location on foot in an unknown direction after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect implied that he had a firearm but none was seen by witnesses.
The suspect is described by witnesses as an African American male in his mid 30s, 5'6" tall, thin build, short hair, sunglasses, hat, and wearing a dark-colored pullover hoody with some type of colored design on the front.
Officers canvassed the neighborhood looking for the suspect but did not locate anyone matching his description.
