Portland Police Traffic Investigators issued a traffic citation as a result of this morning's crash on Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard.

Investigators learned that a 1993 Ford F-350 pickup truck, driven by 37-year-old Krist Tomas Sandness of Milwaukie, was northbound on McLoughlin at an estimated speed of 80 mph. A 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by 59-year-old John Fannett of Milwaukie, entered the roadway northbound from the Tacoma Street onramp and pulled out in front of the pickup just before the crash.

Based on the pick-up truck driver's speed, investigators issued a traffic citation for Careless Driving to Krist Sandness.

The motorcycle rider was transported to an area hospital with several injuries, none of which are life-threatening.

McLoughlin was closed for approximately two hours during the investigation.
