This evening, Friday August 3, 2012, at 8:45 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct and the Gang Enforcement Team responded to the report of gunshots heard in the 1700 block of Northeast Lombard Street.

Officers arrived and located an apartment on the south side of Lombard that appeared to have multiple bullet holes through the front window. Officers checked the apartment for victims but did not find anyone hit by gunfire. The apartment was occupied by several adults.

Preliminary information indicates that the shooting may be gang related so the Gang Enforcement Team is leading the investigation.

No suspect information is available at this time.
