UPDATE: Portland Police Investigating a Stabbing in the Lloyd Neighborhood's Holladay Park

Portland Police arrested 45-year-old Tony Estacio Henriques in connection with the Friday evening stabbing in Holladay Park. Investigators learned that Henriques and the victim, a male in his 30s, got into a dispute in the park resulting in the victim being stabbed.

Officers have recovered a knife believed to have been used in the stabbing.

Henriques was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Assault in the Second Degree.

The victim remains in serious condition at a Portland hospital. His name will be released after his family is notified of his injuries.


This evening, Friday August 31, 2012, at 6:55 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to the report of a stabbing at the Lloyd Center mall in Northeast Portland. Officers arrived and located a stabbing victim on the lower level of the mall outside Macy's near the Ice Rink.

The victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with traumatic injuries, although he was alert and conscious at the scene.

One person is in custody and based on the preliminary investigation, the stabbing occurred across from the mall in Holladay Park and the victim ran to the mall where he called 9-1-1.

Both the victim and the suspect are adult males and at this time the stabbing is not believed to be gang-related.

No additional details can be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
