UPDATE: Portland Police Seek Public's Help Locating Missing 15-Year-Old With a 1-Year-Old Child

1-year-old Danniel Helms has been located by police and is receiving medical care at this time. Friends of 15-year-old Aracele Helms called police and turned the child over to medical personnel.

Aracele Helms is still considered missing but her case is being treated as a runaway.



The Portland Police Bureau Missing Persons Unit would like the public's help in locating 15-year-old Aracele Helms and her 1-year-old son Danniel Helms. Aracele is pronounces ARA-SELL.

Aracele and Danniel were last seen at the Oregon Health Sciences University Waterfront Facility on Friday August 31, 2012, at approximately 3:00 p.m. but did not return to their residence. Aracele frequently uses TriMet and is familiar with both Downtown Portland and Gresham.

Aracele is described as a Hispanic female, 5'3" tall, and 220 pounds.

Danniel is described as a Hispanic male, 2'6" tall, and 26 pounds.

Danniel suffers from several serious medical conditions that require medication every two hours and it is believed that he is currently without his medication.
