The woman transported to the hospital after being revived at the scene of the crash ultimately died at a Portland hospital. The investigation is ongoing and her name will be released pending family notification.

Medical personnel were able to revive the woman involved in the crash and have transported her to an area hospital. Her condition at this point is not known. Investigators will continue to process the crash scene and updates will be provided as they become available.

This afternoon, Wednesday October 31, 2012, at 5:37 p.m., a Portland Police officer came across a single vehicle crash at Northeast 24th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard. The officer contacted the driver, an adult female, who appeared to be unconscious.

Medical personnel responded and determined that the driver was deceased, possibly of a medical event prior to the crash.

The Portland Police Bureau Traffic Division's Major Crash Team is responding to conduct an investigation.

The intersection of Northeast 24th and Sandy will be closed as officers conduct a crash investigation.
