UPDATE: Two Suspsects in Custody After Armed Robbery at a Bar in the South Tabor Neighborhood

Portland Police Robbery detectives booked two men into the Multnomah County Jail in connection with Saturday's robbery at Coasters Bar and Grill in Southeast Portland.

51-year-old Edward Stanley Hauer was identified as the gunman and 32-year-old Julian Everett Matthews was identified as the getaway driver.

Robbery detectives determined that Hauer was also involved in several other robberies: Dotty's Deli on August 25, 2012; Loto's Deli on September 18, 2012; Bob and Alice's Bar on September 21 and again on October 20, 2012; and, Coasters Bar and Grill on October 29, 2012.

Hauer was charged with six counts of Robbery in the Second Degree. Matthews was charged with two counts of Robbery in the Second Degree.

Both will be arraigned on Tuesday in Multnomah County Court.

This morning, Saturday November 10, 2012, at 11:49 a.m., Portland Police officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at Coasters Bar and Grill, located at 6015 Southeast Powell Boulevard.

As officers were enroute, additional information was received that the suspect left on foot, southbound on 62nd Avenue. The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s, 5'8" tall, thin build, wearing a stocking cap, armed with a handgun. Additionally, there may have been a second suspect outside the bar.

Officers canvassing the area located saw a suspect matching the description in a car along with another male. Officers stopped the car at Southeast 69th Avenue and Foster Road. Both men are in custody at this time.

Nobody was injured during the robbery and Robbery detectives are responding to further the investigation.
