November 11, 2012 12:14

On Sunday November 11, 2012, at 12:48 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct were flagged down at Northeast Ainsworth Circle and Airport Way by two men who reported that someone threw rocks onto their cars on I-205.

The victims explained to the police that they were driving northbound on I-205 when someone threw rocks from the Killingsworth overpass, striking their windshields. Both the 1982 Chevy pick-up, occupied by two, and the 2000 Honda 4-door, occupied by one, suffered windshield damage. Fortunately nobody in either vehicle was injured in these incidents.

Officers checked the area near the overpass and located two 17-year-old males on the railroad tracks and took them into custody without incident.

Both suspects were charged with three counts of Reckless Endangerment and two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree and released to their parents.
