Portland Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect in Southeast Portland's Glenfair Neighborhood

On Thursday November 22, 2012, at 9:48 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of an armed robbery in the area of Southeast 162nd Avenue and Stark Street.

Officers arrived and spoke with the victim who told police that he was approached by a man armed with a pocket knife who demanded money from the victim.

The suspect, later identified as 51-year-old David Allen Mackay, walked away after the victim refused to give him any money and got into a woman's vehicle and asked her to help find crack cocaine for him.

Officers located and arrested Mackay for Robbery in the First Degree and booked him into the Multnomah County Jail.
