Portland Police arrested 18 year old Fernando Rojas-Salazar in connection with a previously reported shooting.

December 16, 2012 at around 3:00 a.m. North Precinct officers responded to a 911 hang up call at hotel in the 400 block of NE Wasco. During their investigation they determined they had probable cause to arrest Mr. Rojas-Salazar for Assault IV in relation to the 911 call. Officers were aware there was also probable cause to arrest Mr. Rojas-Salazar for the previously reported shooting. Nobody was injured in that shooting.

He was booked on charges of Assault IV (domestic violence) and Attempted Murder.

This afternoon, Sunday September 16, 2012, at 4:18 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct and the Gang Enforcement Team responded to the report of multiple shots fired in the parking lot of the Plaid Pantry, located at 8110 North Fremont Street.

Officers arrived in the area and learned that two groups were in the parking lot of Plaid Pantry and at some point, shots were fired. The Plaid Pantry store was hit by gunfire but there were no injuries.

Officers including a police K-9 unit checked the neighborhood for potential victims and suspects but did not locate anyone.

No suspect information is available at this time.

Northeast Fremont Street is closed between 80th and 82nd as officers process the crime scene.

The Gang Enforcement Team is enroute to conduct an investigation.
