December 19, 2012 10:30On Monday December 17, 2012, at 11:08 p.m., Portland Police responded to the report of a burglary to a residence in the 10900 block of Southeast Market Street.
Officers arrived and spoke with the victim who told police that sometime during the day, someone broke into his home and stole several wedding gifts including cash, gift cards, and his fianc?s wedding band. The victim and his fianc? are to be married in two weeks.
Officers checked the perimeter of the home and discovered that the burglar removed a pane of glass from a door at the rear of the home that enters the attached garage. Officers also discovered a backyard gate ajar that the homeowner explained was always closed.
The victim told police that the burglary occurred sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. when he returned home from work.
