Portland Police Investigating Christmas Eve Robbery in Southwest Portland

On Monday December 24, 2012, at 3:01 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Swan Market, located at 4440 Southwest Barbur Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke with the victim who told police that the suspect displayed a handgun in his waistband as he demanded money from the clerk.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled into the neighborhood on foot.

Officers conducted an extensive neighborhood search for the man but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s, wearing camouflage pants and a gray long-sleeve t-shirt.
