This morning, Thursday January 3, 2013, at 6:18 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to the report of a vandalism at the Wells Fargo Bank branch, located at 5730 Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Officers learned of the vandalism after local media received an email from an anonymous source describing the vandalism and stating that the crime occurred in response to a Federal investigation involving people jailed in connection with 2012 May Day riots in Seattle, Washington.

Officers arrived and found that a rock was used to smash through a window on the outer foyer door. No entry was made at the bank and it is not known how much damage may have been done to the ATM outside the bank.

At this point there is no suspect information and anyone with information can send tips to CrimeTips@PortlandOregon.gov.
