Detectives from the Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit are asking for help in locating 14-year-old Antonio Paredes ("Par-ay-dehs"), who was last seen at about 7:00 p.m. this evening, January 26, 2013.

Antonio ran out of his house, in the 16100 block of Northeast Glisan Street, after becoming upset. Family members expressed concern that Antonio may present a risk to his own safety.

Antonio is described as a white male, 14 years old, 5'4" tall, 130 pounds, with short, black hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing a white, zippered hoodie jacket, with blue writing on the chest, a long-sleeved, blue/white plaid flannel shirt, dark-colored blue jeans with white stitching on the back pocket, white K-Swiss tennis shoes, and an unknown-colored baseball cap. Antonio was believed to be carrying a black backpack with him.

Antonio is believed to be on foot. Family members said he likes to frequent the skate park at Ed Benedict Park, at Southeast 109th Avenue and Powell Boulevard, as well as Pioneer Square.

Anyone who knows where Antonio may be is asked to immediately call 9-1-1. Anyone with non-emergency information about this case is asked to contact Detective Mike Weinstein, at (503) 823-0446.
