Portland Police Investigating a Stabbing in the Sellwood-Moreland Neighborhood

This evening, Monday January 28, 2013, at 10:37 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to the 500 block of Southeast Nehalem Street on the report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived and located the victim who was suffering from a stab wound. Medical personnel transported the male adult victim to a Portland hospital for treatment to a non-life-threatening stab wound. The victim is not very cooperative with police.

Officers searched the neighborhood for the suspect but did not locate anyone matching his description.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 30s, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans, last seen on foot on 6th Avenue walking towards Sellwood Park.
