Traffic officers have completed their preliminary investigation into this evening's pedestrian fatality on Northeast Glisan Street.

Investigators learned that the pedestrian, a 29-year-old female, was crossing Northeast Glisan Street at 78th Avenue in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. The victim began crossing from the South side of the street after an eastbound car traveling in the curb lane stopped to let her cross.

A 1985 Chevy full--size Blazer, driven by a 24-year-old female, was also traveling East in the #1 lane and failed to stop for the pedestrian, striking and killing her instantly.
