UPDATE: Portland Police to Conduct Traffic Safety Mission This Morning at NW Broadway and Couch

Officers from the Portland Police Bureau's Traffic Division issued six (6) citations and nine (9) written warnings during today's traffic safety mission at Northwest Broadway and Couch Street.

Four citations and eight written warnings were issued to motorists while two citations and one written warning to bicycle riders.

The Portland Police Bureau Traffic Division continues to respond to community concerns about traffic safety.

Today, Wednesday February 13, 2013, from 10:00 am to 11:30 a.m., members of the Portland Police Bureau's Traffic Division will be conducting a traffic safety mission at Northwest Broadway and Couch Street.

The intersection of Northwest Broadway and Couch Street has recently become a four-way stop and there have been reports of motorists regularly running the stop sign, endangering other motorists, pedestrians and bicycle riders.

Media is invited to cover the safety mission.

Lt. Chris Davis of the Traffic Division will be on site for interested media.
