Gun Task Force Arrests 2 People - Recovers a Handgun, Drugs and Money

On Wednesday February 27, Portland Police officers assigned to the Gun Task Force and Gang Enforcement Team arrested two individuals in connection with an ongoing investigation by the Gun Task Force.

21-year-old Gustavo Isabel Vega was arrested on charges of Delivery and Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Heroin, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Reckless Endangerment, Menacing (Domestic Violence), and a Probation Violation on an original charge of Burglary in the First Degree.

33-year-old Kathleen Olinger was arrested for an outstanding Federal warrant for Identity Theft.

The arrests occurred in the parking lot of the Gresham Fred Meyer and search warrants were served at two locations after the arrests: 2497 Southeast Burnside Road in Gresham; and, 38679 Dubarko Road in Sandy.

Officers seized a .22 caliber handgun, approximately 3 grams of heroin and $600 in cash.

Vega and Olinger were booked into the Multnomah County Jail. The case will be presented to the U.S. Attorney's Office for possible Federal prosecution.
