Portland Police Investigating a Single Vehicle Crash on Marine Drive

This evening, Thursday April 25, 2013, just before 10:00 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to the report of a single vehicle roll over crash on Northeast Marine Drive, near the Portland International Airport.

Portland Police and Portland Fire & Rescue arrived and located the vehicle, a Chevy Tahoe, rolled over down an embankment towards the Columbia River. The driver, an adult male, was suffering from traumatic but not life-threatening injuries.

Medical personnel arrived and transported the driver to a Portland hospital for treatment.

Marine Drive will be closed from 122nd to 33rd as crews pull the vehicle up the embankment to be towed. Officers estimate that the road should be open within an hour.

Traffic Division officers are investigating and the cause of the crash is not known.
