Portland Police Investigating a Non-Injury Shooting in Northeast Portland's Argay Neighborhood

This morning, Monday April 29, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to the area of Northeast 128th Avenue and Fremont Street on the report of shots fired.

Officers got into the area and learned that someone in a white SUV got involved in an altercation with a group of people in another vehicle and that the driver of the SUV fired at least one shot at the other car, striking it one time.

The white SUV then pulled away from the victim vehicle and fired at least one shot towards a group on foot, striking a neighboring house.

Nobody was hit by gunfire and police are continuing to investigate the shooting. Preliminary information does not indicate any gang involvement.

The Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team and Gun Task Force are continuing to actively investigate gang and gun crimes in the City of Portland. Anyone with information about gang and/or illegal gun crimes in the City of Portland is encouraged to provide information to the Portland Police Bureau.
