Portland Police Investigating Possible Suicide in Downtown Portland

This afternoon, Monday April 29, 2013, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to the report of a man who jumped from the roof of the Nines Hotel and landed on Southwest Morrison Street.

The Nines Hotel is located at 525 Southwest Morrison Street.

Portland Police and Portland Fire & Rescue arrived and determined that the man was deceased.

Southwest Morrison Street is closed from 5th to 6th Avenues as officers conduct a death investigation.

No further information is available at this time.
