###ORIGINAL MESSAGE BELOW###
On Tuesday July 8, 2013, at 7:20 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to Glenwood Park, located in the 8700 block of Southeast Claybourne Street, on the report of an assault with a BB gun.
Officers arrived and contacted the 11-year-old male who told police that another young man approached him demanding his skateboard while pointing a BB gun at the victim. The victim gave the suspect his skateboard and the suspect walked away.
Officers learned that the suspect then approached a second victim, 18-year-old Angelina Clayberg, and pointed the BB gun at her while threatening to shoot her. Clayberg walked away from the victim unharmed.
Officers learned that the suspect approached a third victim, a 12-year-old female, pointed the BB gun at her and demanded her iPhone. The victim walked away without giving the suspect her phone.
The first victim called his dad who responded to the park and detained the suspect until police arrived. Officers took the 13-year-old male suspect into custody and recovered a BB gun from his waistband.
Robbery Detectives responded to continue the investigation and ultimately lodged the 13-year-old male suspect into the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home on a charge of Robbery in the Second Degree. Additional charges may be added by the Multnomah District Attorney's Office.
