July 17, 2013 14:30The Portland Police Bureau has been advised by the Washington State Patrol and the Thurston County (WA) Coroner's Office, that missing person Ted Reich was confirmed to have been the victim of a single-vehicle, fatal motor vehicle crash, which occurred during the afternoon on July 16, 2013.
The crash occurred along Interstate 5 near exit 95 in Washington State.
The Portland Police Bureau wishes to extend its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Reich.

The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public's help in locating 84-year-old Ted Reich, who suffers from Alzheimer's, and is believed to be driving his wife's Mercedes SUV.
Reich was last seen at home, in the 4900 block of Southwest Hewett Boulevard, at approximately 11:30 a.m. this morning, July 16, 2013.
Reich's wife returned home from walking their dog, and discovered that Ted was missing, along with her car. Reich reportedly has a prior history of wandering, but has not previously left in a vehicle. Family members advised that Reich may try to get to the Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC), in Downtown Portland, the Portland Yacht Club, on Northeast Marine Drive, or the Bridgeport Pub, on Northwest Marshall Street.
Reich is described as a white male, 84 years old, 6'1", 165 pounds, with grey hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a red, zippered Patagonia sweater over a blue, short-sleeved, plaid shirt, khaki pants and tan-colored, Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes.
Reich is believed to be driving a silver, 2001 Mercedes ML320 sport utility vehicle, with Oregon vanity plates, "GER".
