The 1992 Toyota Celica, stolen this morning in a carjacking, has been recovered. The vehicle was located unattended this afternoon in a parking lot for Eastport Plaza on Southeast 82nd Avenue.

The suspect in this case has not been identified.

This morning, Wednesday July 31, 2013, at 6:22 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to Northeast 100th Avenue and Glisan Street on the report of a carjacking.

Officers arrived in the area and talked to the 43-year-old female victim, an area resident. The victim told police that the suspect pulled her out of her car and drove away. The suspect and vehicle were last seen traveling westbound on Northeast Glisan Street. The suspect was not armed and the victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, average build, wearing a dark shirt and baseball cap.

The vehicle is described as a white 1992 Toyota Celica, with a big dent on the passenger side, a spoiler and a dinged-up trunk. The plate on the vehicle is Oregon 302BBR.

This is an active investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
