Suspect Sketch Released in TriMet Bus Operator Stabbing

The Portland Police Bureau has released a forensic sketch of a stabbing suspect that injured a TriMet bus operator at Southeast 94th Avenue and Foster Road.

The investigation began on July 17, 2013, at 2:45 p.m., when East Precinct officers responded to the report of a stabbing. Officers and medical personnel arrived and found the TriMet bus operator, 40-year-old Fadi Hamad, suffering from stab wounds.

The victim was stabbed after coming out of a TriMet break room facility underneath I-205 where he was confronted by the suspect.

The suspect fled the area on foot and officers did not locate him after an extensive neighborhood search.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s, 5'9" tall, medium build, medium-length brown hair, unshaven face with several scars, a black and white "checkerboard" tattoo on the front of his neck, last seen wearing a green t-shirt and black pants.

TriMet is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.
