UPDATE - FOUND SAFE: Missing Endangered 86-Year-Old Woman in Southwest Hills Neighborhood

86-year-old Rita Lewin has been found safe and has been transported to a Portland hospital as a precaution.

Lewin was located by an alert neighbor several blocks from her home.

The Police Bureau would like to thank the public for assisting with the search.

The Portland Police Bureau Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help in locating a missing endangered 86-year-old woman in Southwest Portland.

Rita Lewin was last seen at approximately 8:30 p.m. at her residence in the 1900 block of Southwest Vista Avenue. Rita's family has told police that she has dementia and is almost non-verbal with people.

Rita is described as a white female, 5'4" tall, 130 pounds, gray hair, last seen wearing a blue knit top and black pants.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team is responding to assist with the search.

Anyone seeing Rita is asked to immediately call 9-1-1.
