August 16, 2013 10:10The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in solving a 2010 suspicious death in Southeast Portland.
On Sunday August 15, 2010, at approximately 3:54 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of a man down on the sidewalk in the 5600 block of Southeast 84th Avenue. Officers arrived and found 39-year-old Jason Troy Doering suffering from an apparent head injury. Medical personnel transported him to an area hospital where he later died.
An autopsy performed by the Oregon State Medical Examiner determined that Doering died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Portland Police Homicide Detectives are seeking any information about Doering's activities in the area where he was found. Detectives would also like any information about any associates that may have been with him that night or possible witnesses in the area.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you can remain anonymous.
