UPDATE: Drunk Driver Arrested After Driving on MAX Tracks in North Portland

The driver arrested today has been identified as 38-year-old Laura Suzanne Klingelhoffer. Klingelhoffer was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of DUII and Reckless Driving.

This afternoon, Friday August 16, 2013, at 2:28 p.m., North Precinct and Transit Police officers responded to North Lombard Street and Interstate Avenue on the report of a vehicle on the MAX tracks.

Officers arrived and found a red Datsun pickup stuck on the MAX tracks at North Russet Street and Interstate Avenue. The vehicle struck a pole in the middle of the tracks.

Officers contacted the driver, a 38-year-old female, and have arrested her as a result of the crash.

Her name and charges will be released after she is booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
