Three Teens Arrested for Vandalizing and Burning a Parked Car in the Rose City Park Neighborhood

This morning, Friday August 30, 2013, at 3:51 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to Northeast 64th Avenue and Tillamook Street on the report of three people destroying a Jeep parked on the street.

As officers were still en route to the scene, they learned the vehicle was now on fire. Portland Fire & Rescue responded and quickly extinguished the flames.

Officers arrived in the area and with the use of a Police K-9 Unit, located three teens involved in the vandalism.

Damage to the vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, was extensive. Fire damage was limited to the interior of the vehicle, which was parked on the street with a "For Sale" sign inside.

The suspects, 18-year-old Phoenix Adagio, 18-year-old Anthony Huisman-Huls, and a 17-year-old male were charged with Arson in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, Reckless Burning, and Theft in the Second Degree.

Adagio and Huisman-Huls were booked into the Multnomah County Jail and will be arraigned on Tuesday. The 17-year-old male was lodged into the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home.
