Public's Help Sought in Locating a Missing Runaway 15-Year-Old Girl

September 12, 2013 22:02

The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public's help in locating missing 15-year-old Dalia Mauro-Contreras.

Dalia was reported missing on June 4, 2013, after she left Parkrose High School partway through the school day and did not return. The reporting party told police that Dalia left her school work at home but did take an extra set of clothes. Officers also discovered a previous runaway report involving Dalia.

Over the past several months, law enforcement flyers regarding Dalia have been distributed to police agencies throughout Portland, Beaverton and Tigard, areas Dahlia has been known to frequent.

Investigators have also interviewed several people known to Dalia and believe that Dalia may be accompanying or being assisted by a 27-year-old male family friend to avoid law enforcement detection.

Dalia is described as a Hispanic female, 5'0" tall, 105 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. Dalia was last seen wearing a light grey sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone seeing Dalia is asked to call 9-1-1. Anyone with non-emergency information about this case is asked to contact Detective Lori Fonken at (503) 823-1081 or lori.fonken@portlandoregon.gov.

Spanish-speakers may contact Officer Julia Rico at (503) 823-5784 or julia.rico@portlandoregon.gov
