This morning, Wednesday September 18, 2013, at 3:16 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the area of Southeast 3rd Avenue and Main Street on the report of a sexual assault.
Officers arrived and contacted the victim, a 19-year-old female, who told police that she was sleeping in her friend's car in the area of Southwest 2nd Avenue and Oak Street. The victim told police that she woke-up with a stranger sexually assaulting her in her friend's car. It is not clear how the victim and vehicle got from Downtown to the Lower Southeast side. The suspect fled the area.
The suspect is described as an African American male in his 30s, approximately 6' tall with an average build.
