On September 19, 2013, at 2:45 a.m., East Precinct Officers responded to a report of a hit and run crash involving several parked vehicles and a utility pole near S.E. 100th and Harold Street.

Responding officers noted that the bottom half of a utility pole was gone and the upper half was hanging from the wires. Five parked cars sustained damage, with one of the cars shoved into the exterior wall of a nearby residence.

The suspect's vehicle, a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer, was sitting in the front yard of the involved residence, but the suspect had fled on foot. Officers later located the suspect, 25-year-old Jeffrey Curran nearby. Officers determined that Curran was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash; he was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII), Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangerment.
