On Saturday September 28, 2013, at 2:15 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the 13800 block of Southeast Stark Street.

As officers arrived they were flagged down and directed to a 15-year-old male suffering from a single gunshot wound inside an ground floor apartment.

Medical personnel responded and transported the victim to a Portland hospital for treatment to the non-life-threatening injury.

Officers located evidence of gunfire outside the apartment and learned that the occupants of the apartment above the victims are gang associates. The victim is not a gang associate and it does not appear that his apartment was the intended target.

The Gang Enforcement Team responded to continue the investigation.

There is no suspect information at this time.
