North Precinct Investigating a Non-Injury Shooting in Northeast Portland's Woodlawn Neighborhood

This afternoon, Wednesday October 2, 2013, at 4:31 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the area of Northeast 15th Avenue and Lombard Street on the report of someone firing shots at a vehicle.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted witnesses who told police that an African American male on foot was firing at a passing vehicle then ran out of the area. Officers did not locate any victims and nobody has called 9-1-1 to report being shot at in the area.

Officers, including a Police K-9 Unit, searched the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspects description.

The suspect is described as an African American male in his 20s, 5'8" to 5'10" tall, thin build, wearing dark clothing, armed with a handgun.
