Portland Police Prevent Suicide from Vista Bridge

On Monday, October 7th, 2013, at 10:35 p.m. Portland Police Officers responded to reports of a man climbing over the barrier on the Vista Bridge.

Enhanced Crisis Intervention Team Officers (E-CIT) arrived and found the man standing outside the barrier on the rail. After developing a rapport with the man, they convinced him to climb back over the fence and barrier. The 36-year-old man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
