The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in solving a shooting in Southeast Portland.
On Saturday September 28, 2013, at 2:15 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the 13800 block of Southeast Stark Street.
As officers arrived they were flagged down and directed to a 15-year-old male suffering from a single gunshot wound inside a ground floor apartment. Also in the apartment was the victim's father and brother whom were both uninjured.
Medical personnel responded and transported the victim to a Portland hospital for treatment to a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officers located evidence of gunfire outside the apartment and learned that the occupants of the apartment above the victims are gang associates. The victim is not a gang associate and it does not appear that his apartment was the intended target.
The only suspect information is that the shooter and another male have been in a dark-colored sedan.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you can remain anonymous.
