UPDATE: Bank Robbery in North Portland's St. Johns Neighborhood - Suspect in Custody

The suspect in Tuesday's bank robbery has been identified as 43-year-old Wendy Lee Neighbours. Neighbours was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a Federal hold. Formal Bank Robbery charges are pending.



This afternoon, Tuesday November 12, 2013, at 4:39 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a bank robbery at the Key Bank branch located at 6815 North Lombard Street.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted bank employees who told police that the suspect, an adult female, used a note to demand money from the teller. After obtaining and undisclosed amount of money, the suspect left the bank and walked out of the area.

Officers obtained a description of the suspect, then located and arrested her in the neighborhood.

Robbery detectives are continuing the investigation and no additional details will be released tonight.
