Suspect Arrested After Residential Burglary in the Mt. Tabor Neighborhood

This morning, Friday November 22, 2013, at 7:14 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress at a residence in the 2300 block of Southeast 70th Avenue. The residence is owned by Warner Pacific College.

Officers arrived in the area and learned that the resident spooked the suspect who was in the home's kitchen. The suspect disappeared into the neighborhood so several officers, including Police K-9 Unit "Ace", searched the neighborhood and located the suspect.

The suspect, 30-year-old Paul Michael Walters, was arrested without incident and was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Burglary in the First Degree.
