Two Suspects Rob Woman of Purse in Northeast Portland's Gateway District on Sunday Evening

On Sunday November 24, 2013, at 7:19 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the Gateway Fred Meyer store on the report that a woman had been robbed at gunpoint.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted the victim, a 32-year-old woman, who told police that she was walking across Northeast 99th Avenue, headed for the Gateway Transit Station, when two subjects approached her and one demanded her purse. The suspect that demanded her purse was armed with a handgun.

The woman surrendered her purse to the suspects and they ran away eastbound through a parking lot towards 102nd Avenue.

The suspects are described as African American males, 15 to 19 years old, both 5'10" tall and 160 pounds, both wearing dark clothes and possibly wearing masks. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

The victim was not injured during the robbery.
